FAQs

  • Every single member in the community started off really shy (including me at the beginning of my own learning journey!). This community was built specifically with shy people in mind. Because it’s designed to get you out of your shell so you can speak Spanish with confidence.

We use voice-chat only (no video), so that takes some of the pressure off.

  • You can choose whichever membership type best fits your needs:

    • Challenge Access: Access to all the challenges and study guides

    • Full Community Access: Access to the challenges and study guides, plus extra events like listening practices, jam sessions, and more throughout the week.

    • VIP Access: Everything above plus a private chat channel where I can work with you in a more 1-on-1 format. This allows us to send private voice messages to each other so I can help you practice your Spanish and help you know where to focus next.

  • You can join the community for as little as $20 per month depending on membership you choose.

  • Your Spanish level is not at all important. What’s most important is that you come in ready to learn, take feedback, and take ownership of your own journey.

Learning Spanish requires a lot of effort both inside and outside of the community. As long as you are ready to put in the time, we can help you no matter your current Spanish level.

  • With VIP access to The Challenge, you get access to all of the challenges, all the special events, PLUS a private chat channel where I work with you in a more 1-on-1 format. You get a private channel with me where we send voice messages to each other throughout the week so I can help you practice your Spanish and also help guide you on where to focus next.

  • Everyone has different ideas about what “fluent” means. So I can’t estimate when you’ll reach your desired level of fluency.

Most people complete all of the challenges within 4-12 months, but it is completely self-paced and how fast you complete it is up to you.

One member said: “It’s all about showing up! These are the folks that see the most improvement.” So the more time and effort you give, the more progress you’ll see in a shorter time.

  • Discord is a social platform for communication that allows users to chat via text, voice, or video.

Our community uses the text and voice chat features to immerse you in the Spanish language every single day.

    • On YouTube, I teach “full” lessons where I fully break down different grammatical rules.

    • On TikTok, I do small bite-sized lessons where I teach Spanish phrases, breakdown lyrics, or do mini grammar lessons.

    • On Discord, I help members put all these things together to actually speak Spanish. I also do listening practices where I break down Spanish videos similar to how I did in this video but in a live session.

  • Yes and no. You can join the community and attend the Chat & Level Up events where you can listen to other people complete the challenges until you’re ready to complete yours. But the goal of the community is to help you be able to confidently speak Spanish, and the challenges are how we do that. Plus, completing challenges allows you to unlock new ranks, channels, game nights, listening practice events, and more! You won’t want to miss out.

So you can be part of the community without completing challenges. But if you don’t complete any of the challenges, you won’t get the most out of the community.

  • There are no refunds because once you sign up, you get immediate access to more than just the community—you also get exclusive learning resources that you can review any time.

  • Cancelling is easy, but hopefully you wont want to!

If you need to cancel your membership for any reason, just find one of your emails from LaunchPass. There will be a cancellation link in that email.
